The Aquarium's weedy sea dragons have proved that chivalry is not dead. One of the male sea dragons has been spotted carrying eggs on its tail. Although the female forms the eggs internally, it is the male sea dragon that carries them until they are ready to hatch! Spy on the Aquarium's playful penguins with the new penguin Webcam! These energetic animals are fun to watch playing on land or plunging in and out of the water. You can also spot Aquarium guests in the pop-up interacting with these curious birds. Be sure to tune in between 8:30-10 a.m. and 2-4 p.m. to catch feeding time. Check out the new penguin Webcam!
The Aquarium's giant Pacific octopus is thinking outside the box! By presenting the octopus with different challenges that incorporate a clear box, the animal has an increasingly stimulating environment. Guests can better see the octopus and have marveled at its ability to squeeze through the small dimensions. Aquarium biologists plan to further the enrichment development in the future by adding new attachments to the box that will increase the challenge. Learn more about this mysterious creature!
